Envoys of Record is an independent project recognizing the officers and specialists of the United States Foreign Service.

Diplomacy succeeds quietly. When it works, nothing happens, and nobody writes about it. The people who make it work are rarely known outside the Service. This site exists to change that, one profile at a time.

Standards

• AccuracyProfiles of historical and public figures are drawn from public records and cite their sources.

• SecurityThe site never publishes current post locations, home addresses, family details, or sensitive information about serving personnel.

Envoys of Record is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of State, the American Foreign Service Association, or any government agency. Recognition on this site is the site's own and does not represent an official award.
